Nissan Celebrates Millionth Frontier

From one to one-million Nissan Frontiers in 14 years. That's certainly quite an accomplishment - one which Nissan celebrated just last month. Where did the one-millionth Frontier roll off the assembly line? Right here in the U.S., at the Smyrna, TN manufacturing facility.

Vaden Nissan of Hinesville would like to honor Nissan's feat by sharing a little bit of the Frontier's many evolutions. Taking a brief trip back in time, we'll reminisce how the Nissan Frontier became the first mainstream pickup in the U.S. and grew to its success today.

Nissan and Cummins Develop Fuel-Efficient Titan

What does Nissan, the second largest automaker in Japan, and Cummins, a major manufacturer of diesel engines in the U.S. have in common... besides being part of the greater auto industry? Backed by funds from the U.S. Department of Energy, the two companies have teamed up to bring better fuel economy to the half-ton pickup truck market via the development of leading-edge technology.

Specifically, Nissan and Cummins are developing an all-new 220-horsepower (hp), turbocharged 2.8-liter inline-four-cylinder diesel engine. In its finished state, it is expected to deliver up to 30 mpg highway and at least 28 mpg…
